Thursday 18th of June 2015
The Royal Horticultural Society’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and visitors are in for its biggest and best event yet.
Running from June 30th – July 5th 2015, the first two days are open to RHS members exclusively. From July 2nd, the world-class gardens, which are set in the beautiful 34-acre grounds of Hampton Court Palace, will be open to the public.
The weekend promises to be a fun packed event for all the family to enjoy. Explore the myriad marquees that will be showcasing some of the most highly-esteemed designer’s work throughout the weekend. There will also be opportunities for visitors to purchase plants, gardening equipment and fresh, locally sourced produce.
To celebrate the flower show’s 25 year anniversary, a 30×30 metre hedge maze has been assembled in the grounds, which promises hours of fun for both adults and children alike. Head over to the ‘Feast Zone’ and experience the edible exhibits; or perhaps you’d like to see the giant, floral birthday cake?
Also in attendance during the weekend’s festivities will be Masterchef’s Greg Wallace and celebrity chef Rachel Allen, who will be cooking up a treat in the Cookery Theatre during the weekend.
Looking to keep the kids entertained? Take them to judge the scarecrows on the Scarecrow Trail, which showcases 35 of the entrants into this year’s RHS scarecrow competition.
