It can only be a proud moment according to Easirent Preston Car and Van Hire as a road is potentially to be named after a former Mayor of the city.
A social housing development in Preston could name a new road after a former Mayor of Preston. Community Gateway Association would like to name the road at the site of fourteen new homes after board member Rose Kinsella who they described as a driving force of the association.
Rose, said “I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be honoured in this way by the Board at CGA. I also thank Preston Council for supporting this application. I am immensely proud about everything CGA has done for residents in Preston and look forward to welcoming new residents to this amazing new development later on this year.”
As chairman of the CGA’s shadow board in 2005, as the organisation’s first tenant chairman she signed the transfer agreement to create the Community Gateway Association.
Diane Bellinger, CGA chief executive, said “The board at CGA is proud to put forward Rose’s name to the council to bestow this honour. As CGA’s first chairman, she is an inspirational leader who led from the front to bring huge change for residents across the city. It is fitting that we can honour her in this way.”
