Pick up your Easirent hire car from our depot at London Gatwick Airport and head to the Serpentine Pavilion 2015.
The pavilion, which is located in Kensington Gardens in central London, is a temporary structure which is assembled annually by different architects from across the globe.
This year’s entry has been designed by the world-famous, award-winning Spanish architectural team Selgascano, and is the first ever Spanish design of the pavilion. The Serpentine Pavilion has been running for 15 years and is an international space for architectural experimentation. Pulling in international visitors and prominent architects each year, the Serpentine Pavilion is a highly anticipated landmark each summer and has been named in the top 10 most visited architectural and design exhibitions in the world.
Explore Selgascano’s weird and wonderful social space, which promises to awaken the senses. Enter the pavilion through a secret corridor, which leads to a polygonal structure made of translucent, multicoloured fabrics. Take a break in the Serpentine Pavilion’s cafe, which is located within the space.
Each year, a different architectural design team take up the challenge of creating the stunning Serpentine Pavilion; last year’s effort by Smiljan Radic resembled a spaceship that had been constructed on top of neolithic stones.
The Serpentine Gallery by Selgascano is open to the public until 18 October 2015 from 10:00 – 18:00 and is a free event.
