It’s that time of year again, the nights are drawing in, the temperature drops, city streets are decorated in a multitude of fairy lights and of course the pantomime rolls into town. Pick up your Easirent hire car from our Glasgow City branch and head to the Tron Theatre in Glasgow City Centre to catch a glimpse of ‘Sleeping Betty’.
This year’s pantomime is of course based on the fairytale classic Sleeping Beauty, but with a twist. Our protagonist, Betty is stuck into planning the events for her upcoming 16th birthday party, and anyone who is anyone has been invited along. Except of course Fairly Evil, the evil fairy – expect boos, hisses and the memorable ‘she’s behind you’ cat calls as Fairly Evil uses everything in her power to ruin Betty’s birthday celebrations, which includes putting her to sleep for 100 years.
Will Betty awake in time for her 16th birthday? And who will she meet along the way? Whatever happens, you can be sure to expect an evening of entertainment.
The pantomime is a real British institution and nothing gets people in the festive spirit more than an audaciously dressed pantomime dame and the chance to dodge a soaking from a water pistol, and don’t forget the audience participation! Fun for all the family, tickets can be bought online and prices range from £9 to £18.
