Some Great Days Out with the Children over the Easter Break

With the Easter break either under way this week or beginning next week, many parents will be trying to plan things to do with their children to make the break from school as entertaining as possible with days out. Easirent car hire explores some of the places to go around the UK for all their car rental customers to consider also not leave you out of pocket.

Starting off in the North West of England, Tatton Park in Knutsford will become a chocoholics dream over the Easter weekend, so book your car hire from one of our local branches so the children can meet the hen that lays the chocolate eggs on the working farm, go for a ride on the tractor or follow the cocoa bean trail to win a chocolate delight. Not forgetting the parents there will even be cookery lessons and chocolate tasting sessions.

Moving to central England there are a couple of options in Derbyshire with Calke Abbey, considered one of the National Trust’s most child-friendly places, with its hidden corridors and underground tunnels. On Friday and Saturday there will be an Easter treasure trail. Otherwise Easirent car hire suggests Chatsworth, surrounded by the glorious Peak District National Park, which is offering family cooking lessons until 13th April, which includes guidance from a local chef and all ingredients. Staying central, in Yorkshire, Nostell Priory are having an Easter parade on Easter Sunday, so put on your bonnet, with prizes for the best one plus an egg painting competition.

For car hire customers in the South of England there are a few options to consider, heading to West Sussex with Arundel Castle, which will be holding a medieval tournament on Sunday and Monday, recreating what life was like life during the War of the Roses. If that is not for you, maybe LeedsCastle in Kent is better suited, where families can search for dragon’s eggs, with craft workshops for children and a newly opened adventure playground. Another option could perhaps be Pennywell Farm and Wildlife Centre in Devon, offering Easter egg rolling, ferret racing, giant trampolines and puppet shows just some of the activities to choose from.

Moving over the national boarders into Wales and Scotland and with car hire from Easirent the Easter break may be the time to take the family to Erddig Hall in North Wales where between 18th -21st April there will be Cadbury Easter trails or maybe Thirlestane Castle in Berwickshire, Scotland is your preference as the Easter bunny is arriving in style on horse and carriage, with egg painting, face painting and piñatas the traditional Mexican game where you can hit papier-mache figures to get prizes.

These are just a small selection of many choices all around the UK, so be inspired this Easter from Easirent and take out a car hire to explore places with the whole family.
