Pick up your Easirent hire car from our Aberdeen International Airport depot and head to the Aberdeen Maritime Museum for some Summer Family Fun.
The Summer Family Fun event at the Aberdeen Maritime Museum runs from 21 July to 15 August 2015 between 10:30 – 12:30 and has free admission. The event which is aimed at families provides the perfect family activity to fill the summer holiday and encourages children and adults alike to embrace their creative side in a range of activities.
Get creative with the artist Emma-Leigh McKay who will be on hand to help you and your little ones to craft your own artwork which will be inspired by the intriguing displays that can be found throughout the museum.
Take part in a Folded Fancies class and dabble in Japanese paper-crafting by creating your own folding paper fan or colourful carp fish. Guests can also take part in the Wish You Were Here workshop, which invites people to explore the museum’s collection of diving suits, narwhal tusks and treasure chests for some inspiration which they can then transform into a postcard. Create a decorative trophy in the Champion’s Cup class or even take part in the Tea Merchant’s Challenge, a competition which involves examining the the original shipbuilder’s model of the famous tea trade ship the Thermopylae, and then recreating it using basic materials and testing how much tea it can carry.
