Monday 26th of October 2015
This autumn, until January 10 2016, the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) are holding a major exhibition of handmade textiles from India dating from the 3rd to the 21st Century.
To visit this significant collection, after picking up your Easirent hire car from our Luton Airport branch, you can take the M1 into London city centre and park at Unison car parks, a short distance from the V&A, or at Knightsbridge Green NCP near to Knightsbridge station.
To coincide with this week’s half term and to celebrate the Hindu festival Diwali, the V&A are holding special performances throughout the museum. There will be dance – such as classical Indian dance – music, storytelling, digital and art activities for all the family.
The V&A is the world’s greatest museum of art and design and houses a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. As well as The Fabric of India exhibition, the V&A has 145 galleries with collections spanning the last 5,000 years.
Entrance to the V&A and Diwali celebrations are free and tickets to The Fabric of India exhibition are £14 each.
The access to the V&A sits on Exhibition Road, which is also home to the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, and the Royal Geography Society.
