Every year animal lovers of all ages get to enjoy a truly festive experience and some of the cutest creatures around, beautiful reindeers including two babies. Each November the Reindeer Parade arrives in Bradford to mark the beginning of the Christmas season and the arrival of Santa in his grotto at the Kirkgate Shopping Centre.
The beautiful reindeers take to the streets of Bradford, led by the West Yorkshire Fire Brigade Brand and they parade Santa in his sleigh through the centre of the city, which goes from Kirkgate along Sunbridge Road and into City Park. The reindeers then lead Santa back to the Kirkgate Centre and help him settle into his free grotto where he stays until Christmas Eve, so all the little ones can make sure he gets every gift of their list.
The Bradford Reindeer Parade takes place on 15th November from 10am and once Santa is already in his grotto there is an hour to spend up close with the reindeer, meeting them in their pen and cooing over the two babies. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the festivities in Bradford, with many more Christmas celebrations and events planned throughout November and December.
If you’re in Bradford on the day of the parade it’s certainly worth making time for and the Kirkgate Centre is very centrally located within the city, making it just a 30 minute drive in your Easirent hire car from Leeds-Bradford Airport. Fun for all the family and a wonderful chance to meet reindeer up close.
