Fans of all things graphic will flock to Leeds for the eighth annual Thought Bubble Comic Con this November. The convention which has grown significantly since its first year, the Thought Bubble Comic Con is a must-attend event for fans of graphic novels, comics and the artists involved.
Visiting Thought Bubble Comic Con is no problem if you’re travelling into the area as the convention lasts from 9th until 15th November, takes over a number of venues across the centre of Leeds and you can easily drive your Easirent hire car from Leeds Bradford airport into the city, settle into your accommodation and then pick out the events from the convention you simply couldn’t miss.
Thought Bubble Comic Con is a huge festival of graphic novel art and involves a wide range of events from free art and writing workshops for visitors of all ages as well as masterclasses, talks and much more from some of the biggest names in the industry. Special guests this year include the subversive Spanish cartoonist Joan Cornella, Rick Remender known for writing Captain America and other Marvel classics and Ian Churchill who is known for his work on X-Men, Supergirl, Deadpool and much more.
This is just a small sample of what Thought Bubble has to offer and it takes over venues across Leeds including the Town Hall, Leeds Dock, Leeds Central Library, North Bar, Belgrave Music Hall and many more. There will also be a special series of screenings at some of the city’s cinemas in the run up and during the event. The Comic Con itself is at Leeds Dock, where over 400 tables of the finest comics will be on display.
Whether you visit just for the weekend at Leeds Dock or get into the spirit of the whole week, Thought Bubble is a serious contender for the UK’s best Comic Con.
