Have you got a day of Lancashire sightseeing planned, but need that little boost to get you on your way? Why don’t you pay one of Easirent’s favourite coffee shops a visit before you hit the road? There are plenty of quirky little coffee shops hidden away in Preston town centre. Here at Easirent, we have narrowed it down to some of the best, just to make your decision a little easier.
1. Old Holly Farm Courtyard Cafe
Pick up your Easirent hire car from our Preston town centre branch and head to Garstang, where you’ll fine the Old Holly Farm Courtyard Cafe. Located on a family-run, working dairy farm, the Old Holly Farm Courtyard Cafe has an extensive menu that makes use of locally sourced produce. There is also an on site deli which stocks delicious home made jams and preserves.
2. Brabin’s Shop and Tea Room
Located in the stunning Ribble Valley, Brabin’s Shop and Tea Room is reputed to be the oldest continuously trading shop in the whole of Great Britain. Built by John Brabin in 1668 as a cloth trading shop, it is today both a shop and a cafe. Grab yourself a table and enjoy something from the extensive menu, which offers delicious breakfasts, afternoon teas, snacks, teas and coffees.
3. The Mill, Saint Catherine’s Park
Located just a short drive from our Easirent pick up point in Prenton town centre, The Mill is a welcoming little cafe with a rustic atmosphere. Once an old cotton mill, The Mill serves up delicious, locally-sourced, home made food and drink. Take your pick from top quality coffees, cakes, soups, salads and sandwiches. There are also options for full meals and afternoon tea is available for those special occasions.
4. The Ginger Baker
Located in the heart of Preston town centre, the Ginger Baker is an inviting and cosy cafe which is popular with locals and tourists alike. This cute little cafe uses the best locally-sourced ingredients in all of its recipes, and diners can choose from a selection of menus, including a breakfast menu, light lunch menu, afternoon tea menu, a childrens menu and of course a cake menu.
5. Leaf or Bean
Leaf or Bean is located on the first floor of the Preston Guild Hall and is the perfect place to rest your feet after a day of shopping or sightseeing. Using only the finest coffee beans and tea leaves, Leaf or Bean allows you to create your own coffee combination from a wide selection of flavours, including, hazelnut, cinnamon and gingerbread.
