Top 6 Coffee Shops

Have you got a day of Manchester sightseeing planned, but need that little boost to get you on your way? Why don’t you pay one of Easirent’s favourite coffee shops a visit before you hit the road? There are plenty of quirky little coffee shops hidden away across the city. Here at Easirent we have narrowed it down to some of the best, just to make your decision a little easier.

1. Takk

Takk is a great little Scandinavian coffee shop and its Scandi roots are obvious as soon as you step foot in the door. The laidback decor throughout the coffee shop and the Icelandic map pretty much stops there though, as the menu will demonstrate. Serving up classic sandwiches and European specials, Takk s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

2. Teacup Kitchen

Pick up your Easirent hire car from our Manchester Airport branch and head to the Teacup Kitchen, which is nestled in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Sourcing all of its ingredients locally, the Teacup Kitchen specialises in delicious breakfasts and perfect cakes and sweet treats. Of course, the tipple of choice here is the humble cup of tea – but if you’re more of a coffee lover then you will love the hand roasted coffee.

3. Caffeine and Co

This quirky little artisan coffee shop has a plethora of coffees and snacks available on the menu.Located inside the old Granada TV building, Caffeine and Co is a hit with both locals and tourists alike, and is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat in between meals.

4. Pot Kettle Black

Pot Kettle Black is a boutique coffee house located inside the beautiful Barton Arcade. Owned by Rugby League’s Jon Wilkin and Mark Flanagan, Pot Kettle Black is much more than your typical coffee house – pop in at the weekend to listen to some live acoustic music, take part in a book club or challenge yourself in a rooftop fitness workout.

5. Proper Tea

You’ll find Proper Tea in the heart of the Northern Quarter, and it certainly lives up to its name. Located inside Manchester Cathedral, the stunningly styled tea room exudes class and elegance as well as serving up fine food and delicious coffee.

6. Grindsmith Brewbar

Hop in your Easirent hire car and head to Salford (it’s almost Manchester) to the Grindsmith Brewbar. Crowdsourced on the Kickstarter platform by fans of independent coffee shops, kick back and relax in this fun little hut, while enjoying the perfectly blended cappuccino.
