1. The Cavern Club
No visit to Liverpool is complete without a trip to the Cavern Club. Hop in your Easirent hire car and head to the home of The Beatles on the world-famous Mathew Street. Opened in 1957, The Cavern Club has been a cornerstone of the international music scene, hosting the likes of Cilla Black, Jerry and the Pacemakers and of course, The Beatles.
2. The Beatles Story
Currently home to the ‘British Invasion: How British Beat Groups Conquered America’ exhibition, The Beatles Story is a haven for Beatles fans. The award-winning museum, which is dedicated to the music of the 1960s is located in the stunning Albert Dock area of Liverpool. Swap your Easirent hire car for a yellow submarine as you take a Magical Mystery Tour through the replica streets of the 1960s, visiting Mathew Street and the Cavern Club in all their glory.
3. Sefton Park
Park up your Easirent hire car and take a stroll through the lush green surroundings of Sefton Park. Located in North Liverpool, Sefton Park is on the Grade I listed register of historic parks and gardens. Visit the Palm House, a stunning three-tiered domed conservatory which sits in the centre of this beautiful park. Pop into one of the many quirky little eateries that are situated on Lark Lane, which is just a moment’s walk from the park.
4. Speke Hall
Journey back through the ages and visit Speke Hall, one of the finest examples of a Tudor house that exists today. Built in 1530, the wood-framed wattle and daub house has been transformed into an educational experience for all ages. Learn how the Tudors lived at Speke Hall, which has maintained almost all of its original features. The beautiful gardens surrounding the house offer unparalleled, panoramic views across the River Mersey to the Wirral Peninsula.
5. Mersey Ferry Tour
Swap your Easirent hire car for a Mersey Ferry and make the famous trip across the River Mersey. Embark at Seacombe, Woodside or Liverpool’s Pier Head terminals and enjoy the 50 minute River Explorer Cruise and spot some of the most iconic landmarks in Liverpool. Make sure you check out the ‘Dazzle Ship’, an operating ferry boat which has been transformed into a colourful work of art by Peter Blake, the artist famous for designing The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper album cover.
6. The Three Graces
Just a 10 minute drive in your Easirent hire car from our Bootle city branch, you’ll find The Three Graces. Perched magnificently on the banks of the River Mersey, the Three Graces are made up of the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building and are one of the reasons why Liverpool’s waterfront is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
