Great cars and service from Easirent Palm Beach
We found Easirent by searching online and thought the booking process was fast, easy and our quote for a week’s car rental was lower than other rental companies. Tom and his team made us feel very welcome after our flight from Philadelphia and the car they provided for us was excellent. I will be using Easirent again.

Travel Guide: Palm Beach, Florida:
Safari parks, shopping, sightseeing – West Palm Beach has it all. Located in South Florida, West Palm Beach sits on the banks of Lake Worth Lagoon, which separates it from neighbouring Palm Beach. The county seat of Palm Beach County, Florida, the city of West Palm Beach is a vibrant waterfront city, which is great for business trips and relaxing family getaways. Serviced by Palm Beach International Airport, it’s just a short drive in your holiday hire car from the airport to the hustle and bustle of West Palm Beach.
The city of West Palm Beach is home to palm tree-lined streets; excellent shopping offerings; and entertainment districts, including plenty of theatre and performing arts for all the family.
Due to its proximity to the water, the city offers breathtaking views across the waterfront, and is said to be one of the best sunsets in the South Florida city. The city’s waterfront is also the place to hire a bike, or go for a stroll, or lap up the food and drink offerings on the water’s edge.
Neighbouring the city of West Palm Beach, is the Grassy Waters Everglades Preserve, which is a stunning green space outside of the city, offering nature trails, canoe trips, hiking tours and much more. Take a trip out into the vast green countryside in your holiday hire car, and explore what the county has to offer; Grassy Waters Everglades Preserve is the source of all of West Palm Beach’s water supply, and there’s always something going on on the everglades. If you’re looking to shake off the city and reconnect with nature, this is the place for you, so park up your hire car and pack your hiking boots.
The city is home to the Lion Country Safari park, which is a great opportunity to spot white rhinoceroses and African chimps wandering around in a natural environment. West Palm Beach is also the home of Peanut island, which is a short ferry trip away, and is home to a Cold War bunker which was built for President John F. Kennedy, and today acts as a historical reminder of the period.
There are plenty of accommodation options for all budgets in West Palm Beach, ranging from budget B&Bs to more upmarket hotels and apartments.
For a great stay in the heart of the city, head to Casa Grandview, a stunning B&B which is located at 1410 Georgia Avenue. Rated as one of the best places to stay in West Palm Beach, on Tripadvisor, the Casa Grandview is sat amidst beautiful greenery which gives the impression that the hotel is located on its own private island.
Providing private ensuite bathrooms throughout, the Casa Grandview is a AAA 4- Diamond award winning historic inn, offering guests a beautiful bedroom and a delicious breakfast. Guests can enjoy the many amenities on offer throughout the hotel, including: a Barbeque; beach gear (beach mats, sand chairs and umbrellas); Bicycles and helmets; dry cleaning services; outdoor pool use, and even a white noise machine on request – there really is everything on offer at the Casa Grandview; prices for a room are around £184 per night, depending on the time of year that you visit.

Food and Drink
Vegans, vegetarians, carnivores and herbivores have plenty of food options in West Palm Beach. From firm favourites on the water’s edge, to new restaurants which are opening all of the time, there’s an eatery for everyone. For a great dining experience hop in your hire car and head to Avocado Grill, one of West Palm Beach’s best indie restaurants, and a top choice by critics across the board.
Serving up locally sourced, fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as local meat and fish, Avocado Grill transforms its ingredients into healthy, well-thought out dishes, which are a hit with locals and tourists alike. The staple ingredient in a lot of its dishes is, of course, the avocado, which the chefs serve in a variety of ways, to suit a range of tastes. Avocado Grill has a pretty hefty events calendar as well, including ‘comfort food Sundays’, ‘oyster Mondays’ and ‘wine down Tuesdays’ – so make sure to check the website for the event of the evening before you book.
Another hit restaurant in West Palm Beach is the Pistace French Bistro, which can be found in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach. Situated on the trendy Clematis Street, this little eatery serves up French cuisine in a sophisticated and ambient Parisienne environment. Diners can opt for indoor seating on the cooler days, or can take advantage of the restaurant’s outdoor patio for some al fresco food with a view.
For pan-Asian food in the palm, head to Palm Sugar, which is located in downtown West Palm Beach, and serves up delicious tapas style dishes, giving guests the opportunity to try lots of items from the extensive menu.
If steak’s your thing, then make sure to reserve a table at the Okeechobee Steak House, which is a family operated business which was opened by Norma and Ralph Lewis in 1947. One of the city’s best spots for a succulent sirloin, the Okeechobee Steak House can be found at 2854 Okeechobee Boulevard.

Attractions and Destinations
From thrill-seekers to animal lovers, there’s plenty to keep you busy in West Palm Beach. Make the most of your holiday hire car as you transport yourself to the Serengeti, and drive past over 900 animals, from giraffes to zebras, lions and more.
Also on the site is the walk through amusement park, which has five rides and a water sprayground. Take the kids along for a fun-filled educational day out, and take a break in the park’s numerous restaurant offerings; there is even opportunity to feed the animals.
In keeping with the animal theme, the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is the place to head for even more animal spotting. The zoo, which is set across 23 acres, is home to over 500 animals and there is plenty of opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals in the zoo’s ‘animal experiences’, a behind the scenes tour of the inner workings of the zoo and includes a sloth experience, a flamingo experience and a giant anteater experience.
History fans should spend the day on Peanut island, which is a 79-acre island just off the coast of West Palm Beach at the mouth of the Lake Worth inlet. Famous as the site of a bomb shelter that was secretly built to house the former President of the United States, John F Kennedy, and was built shortly after his election in 1960.
The former President was known to spend his winters in the city of West Palm Beach. Visitors to Peanut Island should go to the Palm Beach Maritime Museum, which offers a great guide to American history, especially concerning the Cold War era.
