Pleasington is a village situated in the borough of Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire. It is a rural village with a population of 446 at the 2011 Census.
Set on a hillside above the Darwen River, Pleasington is a beautiful area to visit, with a beautiful Gothic style Roma Catholic Church, built between 1816 – 1819 and is one of only two Grade I listed buildings in the bourough of Blackburn with Darwen.
Also in situated within the village is another historic building is Pleasington Old Hall built in 1587, with a nature reserve nearby which was declared in 2006.
Pleasington is on the National Cycle Network Route 6, one of the main national bicycle routes in the UK, which is planned to connect Windsor to The Lake District.
